MK Illumination shares ideas and insights at SCF 2019

We were delighted to be in Warsaw, Poland, for the 2019 Shopping Center Forum. The Forum is the largest commercial real estate trade show fair in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe region) and it provides retail real estate professionals to interact with exhibitors and to both exchange professional experiences and gain access to the newest trends in the sector.

For two days, the multimedia scene was handed over to the Forum’s content partners, who discussed the latest trends and offered insights and analyses. This year’s partners included Savills, Colliers, Trei, Plus Energia, UPS, Apsys, Metro Properties, and MK Illumination.

Our CEO, Klaus Mark, spoke at the event to a rapt audience about the power of light in creating a sales-friendly atmosphere and in building a mall’s image.

“Light is essential when creating mood and atmosphere. ‘Festive’ atmosphere isn’t a reference to Christmas. Festivities take place throughout the year, and we’ve seen how centers can create an engaging atmosphere all year round by using light as the backbone of compelling campaigns. Doing this is a game-changer,” said Mark in a short interview after the event.

Mark’s talk included insights into new trends in holiday illuminations, how to use innovative technical solutions to deliver an even great impact, and used 10 case studies to illustrate his many points, including those from Galeria Kaskada and ECE Projektmanagement.

Marzena Seweryniak, Managing Director of MK Illumination Poland, also attended the event and provided the illuminated 6-meter-high paradise tree that lit up the exhibition area.

“The event was a great success,” she said. “SCF is always a good opportunity to connect and learn, and we were pleased to attend.”

The success of the Shopping Center Forum 2019 CEE Edition is supported by the attendance of over 1800 participants representing 500 retail chains, 300 projects and over 60 exhibitors and partners.
