Dubai Mall was transformed over the holy month of Ramadan with a modern take on the traditional Fanous (lanterns) that are closely associated with the holy month of Ramadan.

These over-sized lanterns were custom-designed for the mall, and were produced in Turkey to precise specifications to create a festive atmosphere both inside the mall and outside, where smaller lanterns featuring lights that changed color, were hung around the popular waterfront.

The mall saw a significant increase in social media mentions, and was pleased with the impact that lights had on visitors.
