Sommieres, France

Lighting up a local landmark

The village of Sommieres has a Roman bridge that was built on the instructions of Emperor Tiberius at the start of the 1st century, and that was restored in the 18th century. The bridge is 190 meters long, and at the town end of the bridge is the Gothic town gate known as the ‘Tour de l’Horloge’.

MK Illumination France helped the village turn their bridge into a festive attraction by using festive lighting to decorate and highlight the local landmark.

The sight of the bridge filled onlookers with festive cheer and visitors and residents alike took time photographing the bridge and sharing those photos online.
