Borås, Sweden

Borås is a university town in the middle of the Swedish fashion industry. The city is closely linked to the university’s outstanding textile faculty – the Swedish Textile School – which is at the forefront of new technologies and sustainable development. 

In recent years, the city’s focus on fashion has expanded to include more sustainable solutions, often incorporating MK Illumination’s organic products into the ever-expanding range of high-quality festive decorations that have been illuminating the city center for many years. 

In 2019, a brightly lit and festively decorated Christmas tree was added to the main square, complemented by cheerful lights in the pedestrian area, showing that creating a cosy atmosphere is also fashionable.

MK Illumination Sweden’s longstanding collaboration with a local installation partner ensured that the new elements were perfectly integrated into the existing staging to achieve a uniform look throughout the festive season, and once again the new elements fitted the bill perfectly.
