Christmas Lights in Helsinki

For the first Time in enchanting Christmas Lights

Finland can be bleak in the winter, and Christmas lights were until now relatively unknown in the Finnish capital. So it was a great challenge to our MK team in Lithuania to illuminate as a first step the famous Esplanadi park, and its adjacent main streets. Inspiration and theme: the Christmas forest, and its fabled four-legged inhabitants, the reindeer. For the premiere project a whole family of original Finnish larger-than-life reindeer were designed and fabricated in MK Illumination’s own factory.  Even the lighting decorations on the streetlights and tree branches were reminiscent of the horns of These legendary Christmas animals – the entire staging a delightful combination of warm gold and brilliant white light. Little wonder that the people of Helsinki eagerly photographed its Christmas miracle and documented it well online.
