Empire Outlets, New York City

Empire Outlets, also known as Harbor Commons, is a 350,000-square-foot retail complex in Staten Island. It was completed in 2019, and is both a shopping destination and a tourist attraction, thanks to its location at the entrance to the Staten Island Ferry.

To celebrate the holiday season, they worked with American Christmas, part of MK Illumination in the USA, to design, produce, and install a giant 33-foot Christmas tree. The tree, which sparkled with brilliant white light points interspersed with hundreds of multi-colored Christmas baubles, was placed at a strategic point in the mall where it could be seen from the ferry at a distance.

The tree was as huge hit and became a popular post on Instagram and Facebook over the season, giving the outlet center lots of free publicity and visibility.
