To get travelers in the mood to head off on a journey or return home to friends and family, Türkiye’s Istanbul Airport combined light and design to create a celebratory experience.
The airport was decorated with a range of motifs that had people stopping in their tracks to take photos and share selfies, including a 5-meter-wide illuminated airplane motif surrounded with gifts, sparkling gifts ranging from 6-8 meters in height, and twinkling new years’ trees filled with airplane-themed decorations.
An incredible 25 deco balls appeared in high-density areas, where columns featured strings of lights that added a warm glow to the spaces. The glass elevator towers were decorated with more strings of lights and airplane motifs, and to encourage the taking and sharing of photos, 3 airport-themed snow globes were placed in passenger waiting areas.
The attention to detail was high, and even the baggage collection area received a festive touch, with a brightly-light Eco tree greeting travelers and sending them on their way.
