Kolding Storcenter, Denmark

An abundance of glowing red hearts greeted Kolding Storcenter’s visitors in 2019.

The center upgraded their Christmas experience with a little extra color, and although the look had changed from a modern “Urban Christmas” with abstract white boxes to an enchanted forest theme, the essence of their Christmas decor was the same, creating an interactive environment such as visitors could explore.

In addition to interactive screens and seating for children for storytelling sessions, the team at MK Illumination Denmark helped the center to create an illuminated tunnel that led to an artificial cave. A snowy landscape could be animated using a series of buttons.

A Santa motif was available for visits in his bright red hut, and holding hands with a loved one or friend activated the impressive 10 meter high kissing tree, which burst into light and song.

A memorable Christmas indeed!
