The coastal town and municipality of Noordwijk make up one of the richest areas of the country and home to a green-roofed villa built by beer magnate, Freddy Heineken. One minute from the beach is the well-loved, luxury Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin. In need of a new eye-catcher, the hotel turned to MK Illumination. The answer was a traditional, 15-meter Christmas tree animated with special ‘wow’ effects, such as the inimitable star atop the tree that was controllable by DMX. And Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken, director of Heineken Beer was on hand for the switch-on to make it a very memorable occasion.
