Rødovre Centrum – Pink Event

Denmark’s Rødovre Centrum runs a number of events throughout the year and when they started planning their “Pink Days” event in spring, an exhibition of Pauli Tvilling’s clothes from his vintage store in Copenhagen, they approached MK Illumination Denmark for input and ideas for lighting and decoration.

The exhibition featured original clothes from high fashion brands from 1957, a period following the 2^nd World War when fashion started to be fun again, and working with the “pink” theme already planned, MK Illumination turned the exhibition space into a dream in pink, customizing the space with pink walls, pink benches, an old fashioned light pole (pink, of course), decorating the windows with made and found decorations, and creating a range of fiberglass decorations including ice cream, French macrons, icing drops, and the ceiling light adorned with flowers. Yes, all pink!

The concept was finished off with giant Edison bulbs and romantic festive lighting that gave the space a fun, joyful atmosphere.
