Seefeld
The town of Seefeld in Tirol, Austria, is a popular tourist destination throughout the year, with winter being particularly busy thanks to easy access to winter sports and traditional seasonal experiences like the Christmas market over the holiday season.
In 2018, Seefeld not only used lighting and décor to turn the town into a magical place over the festive season, but as hosts of the 2019 FIS Nordic Ski Championships, they decided to keep their festive lighting in place until early March AND to install a number of custom-designed 3D light sculptures, filled with light points, to represent a ski jumper, a cross-country skier, and the name of the town (in their branded typography).
The festive lighting created the ideal atmosphere for visitors over the festive season, and the cheerful atmosphere continued to put a smile on the faces of visitors and competitors over the Ski Championships, too.
