Sint-Truiden, Belgium

MK Illumination Belgium helped Sint-Truiden create a festive lighting display that started in early November and ended well after the carnival season with a modular approach to festive decorative lighting.

In early November, the lights focused on large-scale lighting sculptures of shoes and bags as well as consistent frontage lighting for shops to encourage shoppers into the city before the festive season began.

The light sculptures were then replaced by Christmas lighting – trees, reindeer and other festive motifs – and frontage lighting was enhanced with Christmas baubles and greenery.

Finally, the Christmas lighting was replaced by fun and colorful carnival masks that draped across streets and pathways, extending the magical effect of festive lighting for a full three months, and filling the city with a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
