A trip to an airport is often seen as a transit from home to a destination or back again, but Vienna Airport wanted to turn their airport into an enjoyable part of the overall journey.
With that in mind, columns and signposts were illuminated with sparkling chains and strings of lights, Christmas trees were installed and decorated with light and tasteful decoration in gold and silver, and selfie-points were installed for visitors to send “greetings from Vienna” to loved ones and friends.
Luminous lettering above the busy aisles wished passengers “Happy New Year” and “Merry Christmas”, reminding arriving and departing passengers of the time of the season and filling the airport with festive cheer in the weeks before and after Christmas.
