MK Themed Attractions is a new division of MK Illumination that specializes in complete concept lighting, theming and prop solutions, and can also provide amusement ride lighting by drawing on our expertise in this area from our global network.
For Zagreb’s Arena Center MK Illumination was pleased to support the creation of an amazing 12-metre ECO Christmas Tree, which was constructed entirely from 4000 discarded PET plastic bottles that were collected by the people of Zagreb. MK Illumination provided the frame for the tree and was also responsible for adding lighting in the form of more than a thousand metres of its String Lite® product, which when reflected through the structure of PET bottles created a magical effect. The finishing piece of the scheme was erected by Croatian opera diva Sandra Bagarić who positioned the “crown” on top of the tree to symbolise a ‘black pearl of hope’. After the festive season the PET bottles will be recycled and the money raised donated to a local children’s charity.
