Rødovre Centrum, Bad Santa

Rødovre Centrum had a very specific theme in mind for their festive lighting and decoration, one that would form the backdrop to an integrated Christmas marketing campaign that they provocatively called, “Bad Santa”.

Working in rich reds and purples, MK Illumination Denmark created a magical but somewhat edgy festive decorative and lighting display, combining their expertise in both lighting and fiberglass design to craft a magnificent stag and a flock of curious swans, all dusted in glitter and placed in a magical, festive setting.

Over-sized Edison bulbs and strings of lights illumined the display, which subtly reinforced the idea of a non-traditional Santa!

At the entrance to the center, Rødovre Centrum’s name was prominently displayed, thanks to the enormous “RC” that hung from the ceiling, tastefully lit from within with individual bulbs, and providing visitors a place to rest and relax surrounded by swans and a stag under the glow of more Edison bulbs.

Rødovre Centrum’s integrated campaign was incredibly successful, and Bad Santa’s Christmas lighting was part of that success.
