Celebrating light: International Day of Light 2019
We’re celebrating the International Day of Light for the 4th time since 2015. In 2015, UNESCO brought together hundreds of national and international partners to raise awareness of the importance of light science and technology across a range of areas, and of course, we at MK Illumination were delighted because everything we do involves light.
Today we’re going to give you 5 reasons why light continues to excite us, and why it’s a force for good for cities, shopping centers, tourist attractions, corporates, hotels, and just about any space that wants to attract people and make them happy.
1. Light makes people happy
The right light, that is. The kind of light that makes peoples’ eyes grow wide and smiles creep across their faces. The light products and installations that we create use light, design, and color to simply make people happy. And we love happy people!
2. Light turns any space into a magical space
Everybody needs a bit of magic in their lives and our festive and experience lighting products and creations literally transform spaces into wonderlands. Christmas and winter are popular times of the year for our true light experiences, but they work equally well at other times of the year.

We use light to make people happy, but sometimes that’s not enough. People lead busy lives, and here at MK Illumination, we’re able to help customers create festive lighting and experience lighting displays that create calm, make people hopeful, and re-introduce a child-like wonder that we sometimes lose.
