intu Xanadú is one of the largest shopping and leisure centres in Spain, located in the Madrid metropolitan area. Opened in 2003 and expanded over the years, it currently features around 220 shops and services across an extensive retail space, with more than 150,000 m² GLA. Welcoming over 14 million visitors annually, intu Xanadú stands as a major commercial and social landmark for Madrid and the surrounding region, playing a key role in the local economy through its scale, accessibility and strong leisure-driven offer.

“Pinelight Tales”, an enchanted forest, was the theme chosen for intu Xanadú’s Christmas decoration, answering a bold challenge set by the Centre’s Management to reimagine the festive season through an immersive and poetic narrative. The concept sought to materialise an enchanted fairytale universe, where light, nature and imagination came together, populated by forest animals such as rabbits, squirrels and foxes. This magical woodland atmosphere invited visitors of all ages to step into a storybook setting, transforming Christmas into a sensory journey and reinforcing the shopping centre’s role as a place of emotion, discovery and shared experiences beyond traditional festive conventions.
