The giant two-tone deer light sculpture and the cone construction filled with organic baubles are the new highlights for 2019.

Hunedoara, Romania

The city of Hunedoara wanted to freshen up its festive lighting. MK Illumination designed a complete solution for the occasion, which ensured that the streets were full of festive atmosphere.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

MK Illumination was delighted to be involved in the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The illuminated numbers soon became a popular photo spot and proved to be a social media hit.

Malmö, Schweden

In one of the city's most prominent public spaces, directly opposite the cultural center, the train station and close to the city center, our team from MK Illumination Sweden worked with the city to create a fantastic, festive pink tree.

Bremerhaven, Germany

The project in Bremerhaven was expanded this year to include a number of highlights. More trees have been illuminated and a 3D Cute Santa and a Tyrol star complete the concept. Both motifs are popular photo objects and have been shared countless times on social media.

Goms, Switzerland

MK Illumination Switzerland used the clear, elegant and minimalist Kronux light motifs for this concept. The lighting effects make the geometric shapes appear playful and the design of the stars contemporary and modern. They set the scene for the streets of Goms harmoniously and effectively.

Andermatt, Switzerland

Hardly any other place in Switzerland combines the traditional values of the region with the vision of a luxurious vacation destination in such a way. MK Illumination Switzerland took advantage of this aspiration and developed a purist yet traditional lighting concept.

Maria-Theresien-Straße, Innsbruck, Austria

MK Illumination has been providing festive lighting in its home city of Innsbruck for many years. In 2019, the lighting in Maria-Theresien-Straße was further enhanced by two large illuminated Christmas baubles at the annual Christmas market.

Uppsala City, Sweden

When Uppsala selected MK Illumination as the supplier for this year's Christmas lighting, they got on a unique journey. Rather than a standard purchasing, Uppsala chose for a framework agreement, fostering open dialogue and a closer partnership.

La Mer, Dubai, UAE

During the holy month of Ramadan, the LA Mer site was decorated by MK Illumination. Individually designed motifs associated with Ramadan and carefully placed decorative elements such as golden lanterns and crescent moons completed the atmospheric concept.

Ramadan is an important festival in Dubai and The Beach wanted to honour the holy month of Ramadan with a festive lighting display.

The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE

At The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, famous for its contemporary luxury, the goal was to infuse the National Day and Festive season celebrations with warmth and upscale elegance. Embracing this vision, MK UAE reinvented this VIP destination into an enchanting wonderland glowing with RGB lights and shimmering sparkles.

Wolfgangsee Advent, Austria

When the "Wolfgangsee Advent" was founded, nobody could have imagined that this would lead to an increase in visitors over the Christmas holidays to 330,000. The festive lighting from MK Illumination has played a major role in creating an atmosphere that makes this experience so special.

Degraves Street, Melbourne, Australia

MK Australia proudly presents the Degraves Street Festive decoration project 2023! This first-ever Melbourne project showcases vibrant artificial floral baubles celebrating Australia's native flora.

Au/Heerbrugg, Switzerland

MK Illuminatin Switzerland's concept draws inspiration from mysterious glacial erratics. They've crafted 3D stars, uniform in shape but varying in size, symbolizing a connection between Au and Heerbrugg. These cosmic markers are strategically placed along roads and in village centers, signifying discovery and fostering a sense of wonder.

Munich, Germany

MK Austria aimed to tell a story about Munich and Bavaria, using cultural features and symbols to bring the uniqueness of the city and the region to life. The result was a unique, custom-designed concept that emphasised Munich as a Christmas destination.

Randers, Denmark

Den Jyske Hingst (The Jutland Stallion) is a landmark in the city of Randers, Denmark. The team around MK Illumination Denmark was commissioned to create a luminous landmark that pays tribute to the famous stallion.

Lappeenranta, Finland

Lappeenranta is one of Finland's largest cities and is located on the shores of Lake Saimaa. The city council turned to MK Illumination Baltic for inspiration for light displays during the dark Christmas period.

Luci d’Artista, Salerno, Italy

In the 18th installment of "Luci d’Artista" in Salerno, the responsibility for bringing the project to life rested with an esteemed architecture firm from Turin. Nature takes center stage as the theme of this event, with installations sprawling across the city.

Shirahama-cho, Japan

Get ready for an incredible show as MK Illumination Japan illuminates the 620-meter-long Shirara Beach with light and sound, starting on Saturday, October 28, 2023. From the enchanting magic hour on Shirara Beach through the night, the performance, choreographed with lights and soothing music, will take visitors on a fascinating journey.

Craiova, Romania

In 2023, MK Romania transformed the city of Craiova into the enchanting playground of the Snow Queen. The tale unfolds with an evil troll crafting a magic mirror, changing all it reflects. When the mirror shatters into countless fragments, spread worldwide, those unfortunates enough to have a piece enter their eye or heart find their hearts turned to ice, perceiving only the negative and ugly.

Paznauntal, Tirol, Austria

The towns of See, Ischgl, Kappl and Galtür in Tyrol‘s Paznauntal have been known for years not only as popular winter sports resorts, but also for luxury holidays, shopping and festivities. In 2020, the mayors decided to present themselves as a single entity when it came to (Christmas)lighting in order to further strengthen their public image and togetherness.
