ACDC Lane, Melbourne

For Christmas 2024, MK Illumination Australia transformed one of Melbourne’s most iconic laneways into a captivating visual experience with our River of Light installation.

Tucked between street art and hidden bars, ACDC Lane came alive under a canopy of cascading warm white lights designed to mimic the flow of a glowing river. The installation created a dreamlike atmosphere in the heart of the city’s laneway culture—inviting discovery, interaction, and that perfect evening photo.

This project celebrated the spirit of Melbourne: creative, edgy, and full of surprises. The lighting design was intentionally minimal and elegant to complement the laneway’s unique character without overpowering it, creating an immersive atmosphere that drew people in from dusk till late.
