A feel-good atmosphere and lasting memories!

For the past few months, two majestic bears, measuring 5.5 m and 6 m, have stood proudly in Place du Canada. These breathtaking structures look as if they were created specifically for this iconic Montréal landmark. They were originally designed by MK Illumination Austria in 2016 but were never built. In 2024, they were revamped and adapted by the MK Illumination Canada team and produced by MK Productions SRO.

Specialists with expertise in several fields (engineering, design, production, etc.) were called on due to the staggering scale of these structures.
These works of art showcasing Canada’s wildlife are truly eye-catching and awe-inspiring, giving both tourists and locals a striking visual experience. They’ve been a resounding success, fuelled by a strong presence on social media.

The illuminated bears have become a new must-see winter attraction, adding a touch of magic to the urban landscape and celebrating local culture and Canadian wildlife.
