When the joys of travel are accompanied by a festive atmosphere!

Swiss Federal Railways is the state-owned railroad company in Switzerland. In 2016, they invited tenders for a project to create a festive atmosphere and inspire passengers at the four largest railroad stations in Switzerland: Zurich, Geneva, Bern and Basel. MK Illumination won the tender and got straight to work on the first concept at Zurich main station, developed by Aroma AG, an agency specializing in 3D communication.

Zurich Central Station opted for an option that offered unlimited color options through RGB, as well as possibilities in subsequent years such as the large display board in 2017, which allowed passengers to choose which effects were played on the chandelier. The idea behind this on the part of SBB is to sensitize passengers to the digitalization of the future.
