When the joys of travel are accompanied by a festive atmosphere!

The journey to an airport is often seen as a transition from home to a destination or back again, but Vienna Airport wanted to make the stay there a pleasant part of the overall journey.

Therefore, pillars and signposts were illuminated with sparkling chains and fairy lights, Christmas trees were set up and adorned with lights and tasteful decorations in gold and silver. Selfie points were also installed where visitors could send "Greetings from Vienna" to their families and friends.

Luminous lettering above the busy aisles wished passengers a "Happy New Year" and "Merry Christmas", and reminded arriving and departing passengers of the festive Christmas season.
